Crispy Bread Suji Toast / Bread Suji Toast with Schezwan Chutney / Kids Snack and Lunchbox Recipe

Crispy bread suji toast is very healthy and tasty recipe for kids snack or lunchbox.

 In this recipe I have added capsicum , carrot, tomato and onion . You can add any veggies according to your choice and availability. If you want you can add chopped green chillies too.

Here I am using schezwan chutney , you can use tomato sauce too.

Ingredients:-


  • Bread slices - 4 brown or white any
  • Suji or semolina - 3/4 cup
  • Fresh curd - 1/2 cup curd
  • Milk - 1/4 cup
  • Onion - 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • Capsicum - 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • Carrot - 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • Schezwan chutney - 2 tablespoon
  • Ghee - 2 tablespoon
  • Salt - according to taste
  • Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Chilly flakes - 1 teaspoon


Method :-



  • In a bowl mix suji, curd 2 tablespoon of milk , onion, carrot , tomato, capsicum, salt pepper and chilly flakes.
  • Add some more milk and make a nice batter of thick consistency out of it.
  • Cover the bowl with a plate and give it rest for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes remove the plate and mix well.
  • Put a bread slice on a plate and spread schezwan chutney over it nicely.
  • Now spread the suji batter over the chutney.
  • Make sure the layer of suji should not be too thick.
  • Heat a pan over medium flame .
  • Grease the pan with ghee and put the bread slice over it.
  • Let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes or till suji mixture cooks properly.
  • Apply some ghee on top surface of the bread.
  • Flip the side of bread,  cook it till golden.
  • Your crispy suji toast is ready.
